In the latest national poll by NBC News, pop icon Taylor Swift emerged with the highest net favorability rating among all figures surveyed. Among registered voters, 40% expressed a positive view of Swift, while only 16% held a negative opinion.
This sentiment was further detailed, with 17% reporting a “very positive” perception and 22% expressing a “somewhat positive” view of her. Conversely, 9% held a “very negative” opinion, and 7% had a “somewhat negative” view.

Swift’s widespread recognition was notable, with 94% of respondents familiar with her. She surpassed various prominent figures, including President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and former President Donald Trump, earning the highest net favorability rating.
The survey also analyzed public opinion regarding pop sensation Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. Beyoncé, recognized by 92% of voters, garnered a mixed reception, with 33% expressing positivity, 40% neutral views, and 20% holding negative opinions.

Both Swift and Beyoncé faced higher negative ratings from Republicans, with 34% viewing Beyoncé unfavourably and 16% favourably. Despite a slight margin, Swift managed a net positive rating among GOP voters, with 28% expressing positivity and 26% negativity.
Democratic voters overwhelmingly favored both singers, with 52% viewing Beyoncé positively and 53% holding a positive view of Swift. Only 5% of Democrats expressed negative opinions of each artist. Swift received notably high positive ratings from women, with 44% expressing positivity and 15% negativity.

In terms of specific demographics, Black voters displayed a high favorability rating toward Beyoncé, with 57% expressing a positive view and only 11% holding negative opinions.
Despite their immense popularity and influence spanning decades, neither Swift nor Beyoncé have ventured into political candidacy. However, both artists have engaged with politics in various capacities.
Swift endorsed Democratic candidates in Tennessee during the 2018 midterm elections, while Beyoncé performed the national anthem at President Barack Obama’s second inauguration in 2013.

Swift’s recent headlines have revolved around her romantic involvement with football player Travis Kelce, while both singers have maintained their positions as influential cultural figures.
Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt of Hart Research, alongside Republican pollster Bill McInturff of Public Opinion Strategies, highlighted Swift and Beyoncé’s unique ability to reach and impact Americans in ways traditional national leaders cannot.
